Characteristic and charming semi-detached holiday home in the medieval village of Castiglione d'Orcia, nestled around a hill-top castle and surrounded by a breath-taking landscape. The stone house from the 16th Century has been lovingly restored, keeping the original architecture and keeping intact main features such as the terracotta floors, exposed wooden beams and brick vaults. The house extends over different floors and has private outdoor area, equipped panoramic balcony for relaxing and sunbathing, a big terrace with beautiful views, sunshade and equipped for outdoor dining and to relax enjoying the natural surroundings and sunsets. Castiglione d’Orcia offers shops, grocery stores, bars and restaurants with typical Tuscan cuisine. The area offers a great variety of itineraries for trekking and hiking in the great scenery of the Val d’Orcia, an unspoiled valley extending from the rolling Sienese hills and the Mount Amiata forests. The Orcia Valley is the expression of a series of marvelous natural characteristics, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. 5 km the hamlet Bagno Vignoni , renowned for its hot springs and the pool at the place of the main square. 20 km the thermal baths of Bagni San Filippo, 28 km the spas of Chianciano Terme. Ideal position for wine tours, close to medieval hilltop towns which are famous for their excellent red wines such as Montalcino (22 km, Brunello di Montalcino wine) and Montepulciano (29 km, Nobile di Montepulciano wine). 9 km the small Etruscan town of San Quirico d’Orcia, 18 km the Renaissance town Pienza with delicious sheep cheese shops, 55 km the town of Siena – marvellous city of arts.

    “Das Haus ist absolut ruhig gelegen und zum Ausspannen ideal. Wer Nachtleben und Party sucht ist hier falsch.
    Die Lage am Hang bietet von allen 4 Terrassen einen traumhaften Ausblick über das Orcia Tal.
    Das Haus ist in einem einwandfreiem und sauberen Zustand. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt.”
