Corsica

Also called Ile de beauté – Island of Beauty. Mountainous landscapes and solitary bathing bays are spread all over Corsica. The touristic east offers numerous sandy beaches although it is overcrowded during the summer months. The west coast is more exclusive and offers many bays which can only be reached by foot. Minorca

In 1993 Minorca became Unesco biosphere reserve due to its conservation of the environment which is combined with social and economic development. Especially due to this distinction Minorca is a Mecca for nature lovers. Untouched landscapes, car-free cities and clean waters are characteristics of this island. Minorca guarantees peace and recreation. The south of the island offers numerous beaches where you can take a long stroll along the beach. The small taverns invite you in for a drink and a meal. Almost everything that the sea offers is prepared freshly and barbecued. A small downside: the prices for the holiday accommodations are a bit higher than on the neighbouring island Majorca.
