Ancient, stone farmhouse wisely restored. Podere Cantalena is an ancient, stone farmhouse recently and wisely restored placed just outside the small hamlet of Cantalena. The old village is set around 15 km far from Cortona and Castiglion Fiorentino, prosperous towns in the lower Valdichiana rich in art and history. Cantalena, placed 600 mt over sea level, is reachable through a panoramic, unmade mountain road, approximately 3 km long, which winds among fresh woods and green valleys and is not advisable for sport cars but suitable for any other type of motor vehicle.

Infinity pool and endless view on the below valley. The farmhouse, during past times, was part of the former Podere Cerniera estate which included cultivated fields, vineyards and chestnut woods, and still today the owners take good care of it. Podere Cantalena has at clients disposal a beautiful, infinity swimming pool (dim. mt. 10x5, depth mt. 1,50 - open from 01st May to 30th September), which is placed in the adjoining garden, realized on a very panoramic, natural terrace. The property is completely fenced. At guests disposal also a barbecue and wood burning oven where to cook delightful meals to taste on the house balcony, which allows an endless view on the below valley.

A break from everyday life. Furnishing which is nice and comfortable and recalls Tuscan, peasant tradition, together with the atmosphere in which the house is immersed, will be the setting for a totally relaxing holiday to whomever wishes to take a pause from everyday life.

    “Das Beste was wir bis Dato gemietet haben. Komplett und hochwertig ausgestattet, sehr saubere Unterkunft, top gepflegtes, weitläufiges und eingezäuntes Grundstück.Sehr sehr nette Vermieter mit super Service. Man sollte sich allerdings bewußt sein, dass die Unterkunft ruhig gelegen, auf einem Berg, umgeben von Wald, in einem Seitental liegt. Bis zu einem größeren Ort mit mehreren Restaurants und größerem Supermarkt benötigt man ca. 20min Fahrtzeit. Uns hat das nicht gestört, da man sich entsprechend organisieren kann und auch mit der schönen Outdoor Küche viele Möglichkeiten hat sich selbst zu verpflegen. Wir haben die Ruhe und die phantastische Aussicht über die bewaldeten Täler und Berge genossen. Das Stück unbefestigte Strasse bis zum Haus braucht niemanden abzuschrecken. Der Schotterweg ist in einem guten Zustand und auch breit genug damit 2 Autos aneinander vorbei kommen. Er ist mit jedem normalen PKw befahrbar und besser wie so manche geteerte Straße in Italien. Das vorhandene kostenlose WLAN ist leistungsstark und stabil, auch gibt es ausreichend Netzabdeckung.”

    “Das gesamte Haus und das Gelände sind herausragend gepflegt und liebevoll hergerichtet. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden. Der Pool ist außergewöhnlich groß und toll begehbar, wie man es selten findet. Die Eigentümer sind sehr sehr nette Leute und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Anwesen ist einmalig schön und entschädigt den langen Weg zum Haus.”

    “Das Ferienhaus Podere Cantalena befindet sich in sehr ruhiger und abgelegener Lage und ist über eine Landstrasse ca 25 Minuten von Castillon Fiorentin erreichbar. Wir wurden sehr herzlich vom Besitzer empfangen. Das Haus haben wir in einem top Zustand und sehr sauber angetroffen, auch lässt die Ausstattung keine Wünsche offen. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden und in sehr gutem Zustand. Der Garten mit dem Pool ist wunderschön und wird stets gepflegt und gereinigt (3x in der Woche). Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht ist hier richtig. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Danke Simonetta und Alvaro für diese schöne, erholsame Zeit in Eurem wunderschönen Haus.”

    “Die Ausstattung des Ferienhauses läßt keine Wünsche offen. Das Gebäude wurde 2013 errichtet und befindet sich in sehr gutem, gepflegten Zustand. Vorallem die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Anwesen kann über eine weitgehend unbefestigte Straße erreicht werden (geht auch mit unserem VW-Bus).”
