The "Lindenhof Bergenhausen"

We welcome you to the Lindenhof Bergenhausen in the beautiful Westerwald.

In the village of Bergenhausen, which has only 12 houses, we offer you four spacious non-smoking holiday flats for different numbers of people on our estate, which was formerly used as a farm. You are also welcome to bring your dog with you and to keep your horse on our spacious pastures or in our open stable. Bergenhausen is a district of the district town of Altenkirchen, which offers all the shopping facilities and services of a medium-sized centre. You can reach it easily in only a few minutes by car. In spite of the close proximity to Altenkirchen, Bergenhausen is very rural, surrounded by woods, meadows and the Wied. So you can set off directly from the house for a nice walk, a bicycle tour or a horse ride and enjoy the nature. By the way, Bergenhausen itself only has one access road, which ends at the end of the village. So there is no through traffic. As mentioned above, we offer 4 holiday flats, which are of different sizes and therefore also for different occupancy rates: The "Kornspeicher", the "Wäller Stube", the "Bauernkate" and the "Spatzennest".



The "farmer's cottage" - The "Bauernkate"

The 90 square metre flat is located on the ground floor of the Lindenhof and can be reached from the rustic paved courtyard side. The separate entrance door, protected by a rustic half-timbered canopy, leads you into the hallway of the holiday flat. From here, another door leads into the spacious 16 square metre kitchen.

Here you will already clearly recognise what awaits you in many other parts of the holiday flat: A very rustic interior using historic building materials, which is not lacking in functionality at any point. The kitchen floor, for example, is covered with clay tiles that were laid on the granary floor of a half-timbered house several hundred years ago. The kitchen cabinets and electrical appliances are all walled in and beautifully plastered, while the worktops are made from a thick, solid beech slab. You can choose to cook on the ceramic hob or on the two adjacent gas hobs. A fridge, dishwasher and microwave are of course also available. Of course, the kitchen is also equipped with the usual spices, bin liners etc.

There is a cosy wood-burning stove that can be heated with wood. The kitchen is directly connected to the adjoining dining room and is only separated by some massive and gnarled oak beams.

The dining room is dominated by a large, roughly-hewn oak table with matching seating, which goes very well with the solid wooden floorboards. An antique buffet cabinet also serves as storage space for the crockery.

From the dining room you enter the approx. 20 square metre living room. The dining room and living room are separated by a half-timbered wall, which is lined with historic bricks and clay, giving both rooms a cosy ambience. The other walls of the living room consist partly of ancient half-timbering and partly of rustic plaster in Mediterranean colours. Here you can make yourself comfortable after a long hike on the large, cosy corner sofa, which offers enough space for the whole family (the sofa can also be converted into a bed for 2 people), review the day with a glass of wine or simply relax in front of the large flat-screen TV with satellite reception and Blue Ray player.

The flat has 2 bedrooms: the larger bedroom has a double bed (160 cm x 200 cm). Clothes can be stored in an antique linen cupboard. The second bedroom has two cosy bunk beds, each measuring 90 x 200 cm and built as a bunk bed between two half-timbered structures. There is also a cosy built-in wardrobe here, which offers space for laundry and other items. A patio door leads from this bedroom into the garden.

Perhaps you would prefer to take a hot bubble bath in the bathtub in the bathroom after a strenuous bike ride to relax your muscles a little? In addition to the aforementioned bathtub, which has a shower partition and can therefore also be used as a shower, the bathroom is of course also equipped with a WC and a washbasin.

The holiday flat is completed by a storage room, which houses a washing machine and can also be used to store crates of drinks and the like. When the weather is hopefully nice, you can also make yourself comfortable on the garden furniture on the terrace. We also offer the garden as well as a fire pit and barbecue area for shared use.
