The holiday apartment, modernised in 2014, is located separately on the ground floor of a residential building on the owner's 700 m² residential property on the edge of the village and forest. It is equipped with a living room (upholstered furniture with sleeping function, dining area, flat-screen TV, radio/CD), bedroom (double bed), open-plan kitchenette (electric cooker with oven, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, various kitchen appliances), shower/WC, washing machine, central heating. There is also a furnished outdoor seating area, barbecue, bicycle storage facilities and a car park. The total price includes bed linen, towels, water, energy and final cleaning. To be paid on site: Tourist tax. Pets: One small dog (shoulder height max. 40 cm) is allowed in this property.

The health resort of Brotterode-Trusetal is located 700 metres above sea level directly on the Rennsteig trail in the Thuringian Forest. Thanks to a well-developed tourist infrastructure, the town has become a popular holiday destination. In winter, there are 25 km of cross-country ski trails, toboggan runs and ski pistes, ski jumps and an ice rink.

In summer, the many hiking trails and cycle paths are ideal for sporting activities. Those who prefer to relax can visit the Inselbergbad with its large sauna area or enjoy the regional cuisine in one of the many restaurants. Not far from Brotterode are the state capital Erfurt, the cultural city of Eisenach, the theatre city of Meiningen and the world cultural city of Weimar.
