Das Ostseebad Baabe liegt auf einer Landenge im Biosphärenreservat, einer Schutzzone der UNESCO für seltene Ufer- und Strandvegetationen. Durch seine Lage vereint Baabe alle Landschaftsformen, die auf Rügen vorkommen. Hier gibt es Laub- und Nadelwald, die hügelige Boddenlandschaft und natülich die Ostseeküste.
