Restored villa with two holiday apartments and a park-like garden

This is a carefully restored villa with its own piety column and a big, park-like garden with mature trees and a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape. As soon as you step into the house you will be overwhelmed by its traditional charm. Local materials were put together to create an atmospheric overall composition, combining a modern design with quality, traditional materials. The special flair of the villa, which once housed a pharmacy, exudes peace and quiet. Everything is balm for the senses and the soul, and your eyes and body relax. The luxury interior is characterised by care, quality, attention to detail, style and tranquillity.

Apartment with a modern interior, for four people

The apartment features quality materials such as oiled oak wood and natural fabrics, solid oak furniture, and quality brand mattresses and slatted frames on the beds. The big living room (about 25m²) has a quality sofa bed (160cm wide), a relaxing armchair made by Brühl, an oak table and oak chairs, and the fully-equipped kitchen has quality built-in appliances made by Siemens (ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, built-in microwave with grill function, fridge with freezer compartment), as well as a filter coffee machine, toaster, crockery, cutlery and a mixer. The living room also provides a flatscreen LED TV with a DVD player, a stereo system with an iPhone or iPad docking station (adapter for iPhone 5), and a wireless router, provided unlimited and free Internet access. The bedroom has a double bed (180 x 200cm) with quality mattresses and a slatted frame, cotton bed linen, oak cupboards, a flatscreen LED TV, and a desk. The bathroom comprises a walk-in shower, WC, toilet paper, a granite washbasin, drawers, hand towels and bath towels. Every bedrooms has three beautiful, renovated arched windows, affording a fabulous view of the surrounding mountain world and the garden. The entrance has a cloakroom area for your coats and shoes. The ground floor of the newly renovated villa has a laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board, as well as a vacuum cleaner.

You can have breakfast in the stylish garden next to the beautiful piety column, with a view of the local mountain Dobratsch, after buying bread at the organic bakery opposite. There are quality loungers and seating in the garden for every guest. You can also enjoy a grill evening. You can refresh yourself at the spring in front of the villa with clear mountain water, or fill your drinking bottle for your next cycle tour. You can hire bicycles at the fitness centre about 100 metres away. There are bicycle stands or a lockable room for your bicycles. You can park your car on site in front of the villa and in winter you can store skis and boots in the cellar.

The bakery opposite used to be a beautiful villa, which was bombed in the Second World War and was then rebuilt, owned by a family that brought forth the locally famous painter Wiegele. About 15 years ago part of the villa was converted into the Museum Nötscher Kreis. The Nötscher Kreis are the painters Wiegele, Kolig and Mahringer, who have left their traces throughout the local area.

Just 100 metres from the villa there is the restaurant Zum Nont, which also has a pizzeria. Right after that there is the Kovsca grocery market. The locality has hairdressers, grocery shops, a bakery, a bank, post office, post bank, doctor, pharmacy, vet, several restaurants, tennis courts, a football ground, a riding farm, jogging and hiking trails, cycle paths and pilgrimage routes. If you would like to immerse yourself in the Wörthersee lake, then you are given a free cabin and free entry at the beach club in Velden.

    “Wir haben zwei tolle Ferienwochen im Gailtal erlebt. Das Ferienhaus hat eine sehr gute Ausstattung. Es liegt auch sehr zentral. Von dort aus kann man die sehr schönen Seen mit dem Auto in 30 Minuten erreichen. Lobenswert war auch die Herzlichkeit der Vermieter. Wir konnten uns sehr gut erholen. Wir werden das Ferienhaus weiter empfehlen.”
